Score and Bump!

Hi Everyone!

Today, my class and I just finished our lunch recess and T. has an idea for our teacher Mr. H. T. asked Mr. H. if we can go outside a little bit earlier after school to play. But Mr. H. think we were going a little bit out of control after lunch recess. So Mr. H. will see and think about it if we are doing our work and using our time appropriately. After my class and I are doing our work and using our time appropriately, the school was about to finish. Mr. H. thinks we were good enough to play outside. When we play outside, we played a game called Bump.

Bump is a game that needs two basketballs, a minimum of three players and a net. We line up in a straight line in front of the net and the first two players should have the basketball. The first player takes a shot and tries to score in the net, after the first player shoots, the second player is allowed to shoot. If the first player scores, then he/she is safe, goes at the end of the line and the second player is still in the game but he/she still has to score in the net. But if the second player shoots before the first player, the the first player is out of the game. And the basketball is passed to the next person in front of the line. Also you are allow to bump the basketball away from your opponent, so you can buy more time to score the net. Basically, you just shoot the net and score. If the person before you shoots before you, then you are out. If you shoot before the person after you, then you are safe and go to the end of the line. A huge thanks for Mr. H. for letting us play outside!

Shine Guard and Shorts!

Hi everyone!

Today, I had fun at recess after we ate our lunch. I was playing with D. which is really good at soccer and some other friends that also play soccer a lot with D. We play this game called Elimo (elimination), Elimo is like playimg soccer but there is no team, you play for yourself. Everyone has to score two goals to be in the next game, and if you are the last person that didn’t have two goals then you are eliminated. The game goes on until everyone is eliminated except for one person, the winner. This game is really interesting and thrilling1

Oh Romeo and Juliet!

Hi everyone!

Today, our school had a play from a company called the Duffel Bag. There were three males and one female in the play. They had a play about Romeo and Juliet but instead of a regular long and tearing play of Romeo and Juliet, they changed it to make it shorter and very humorous. Instead of the staff of Duffel Bag played as Romeo, Juliet and a prince, they let one teacher to be the prince and two students to be Romeo and Juliet. Their play of Romeo and Juliet was really fun and interesting. After they had finished their play, we gave the biggest round of applause.

Broadway, Opera, Kabuki!

Hi everyone!

Today, we had drama and we have one more week to practice and memorize our monologue. Our monologues have to be memorized, we have to show the right gesture and have a pause if you have to. This will meet the standards if you do the following or if you have done well, you will have your marks in the area of level four. A monologue is speech that is spoken by one person in a play. In drama class, we get a partner or a group of three and we have to show our monologue to your group or partner.

Run, Pass, Score!

Hi everyone!

Today, we had physical education (Phys. Ed.) and we finished the unit of badminton. So we started European Hand Ball, for those who do not know European hand ball, it is a type of team sport where two teams pass and score a ball in the opposing team’s net. When you have the ball you cannot move any further and there is a border around the net that you cannot go in. Our game of handball was really intense since it was the first game this year. As we play more, everybody has become better at passing and scoring. T. from my team and my Phys. Squad made many good passes and had a great block. Z. also had amazing defense and as the Phys. Ed. Period finishes, we all had fun.

March break is taking forever!

hi everyone!!!
Is it just me or does it seem like this week will never end? I'm so excited for March break. we have an entire week to sleep in and do whatever we want. I'm just excited to finally get me cast off. unfortunately I'm not going anywhere for March break, but that's ok because there is lots to do. For example, study, read a history text book, and do math problems. Oh wait that's my list of things not to do on March break, how did that get in there.

Another fun day at Hartman

Hey everyone!!!!
Today was great, we started the day off with drama. We played "I'm going on a picnic" and "what are you doing", it was fun. Then after recess we had dpa. We played four corners, and no this time we did not leave M.G. in the hall. We also played 7up. It was so funny when someone "stroked" Z "they probably liked cats." We ended of the day with the GR.8 debates, reading and painting, it was an awesome way to end off a great day.
