French, G.O.T.G., mini lab

In french we interviewed the pig, the wolf, the magic tree, the lion, the turtle, and the cheetah. At lunch recess, I went to girls on the go, and me and my buddy played skipping rope! And in science we did a mini lab.

The Dance

Today we watched a large group pf high school students preform a dance in front of our grade 6, 7, and 8's. Their dances were very interesting, especially the last one. It did not have any sound! I wonder if we will get to see another play like that one. -Jackie.

Day of the Dodge ball!

So ya, we didn't get to do track and field today because it was raining! It was like a hurricane hit! But anyways, instead of doing track n' field, we did a day of the dodge ball! During something like, six rounds of dodge ball, almost every one was annihilated at least once! And so that was are classes day of the dodge ball!

FRANCE

Hey guys,

This is TM, writing to you from France.

Today is my last day with Val, and I go to Paris tommorow, and get back to Canada on Monday. I won't be at school till' Wednesday, because i'll be really tired on Tuesday, since I'm getting back late Monday night.

France was great, everything was cool, but the school was really hard. Their grade 9 level here in France is like grade 11 in Canada (I was in grade 9 since Val is in grade 9). The teachers are also really strict (no offence to them), and were treating me like a little kid since I didn't know any french. I'm glad I do now, and I could finally get good marks in french class:p.

Sorry I couldn't write to you guys until now, I really didn't have any time, since school here is from 8am-5pm, and you do homework the rest of the night. On weekends I was busy too, I would always go out and visit different cities. Even if I was at home, I would probably be doing some project, or homework, they take forever.

When I get back, I'll make a presentation, probably powerpoint or something, showing the class pictures of France, and all kinds. I'll probably present it next Monday, if it's alright with Mr. H.

I also heard it was snowing in Canada! Here today it's a nice 25 degrees. I have to go back to the bad weather in Canada!!! I also read the post "Beautiful Day", but don't get to exited, because it's going to get cold again:)

That's all my updates about my trip, i'll tell you guys more about it when I get back, and i'll see you on Wednesday!

-TM

Math Quiz Today! or not?

Today for math, we were going to have a math quiz! How exciting, or was it? Apperently, 90% of the girls in the advanced math had Reach Out club, and Orff, and when the ones at Reach Out were done, they went to Orff too. So Mr.C tried to post-pone the quiz till monday, but turns out they will be gone then too. So, instead, we played scattagories! My team won by 1 point, and we got some whoppers (well I believe they were called whoppers, memory not so good though) which were the same as maltesers. They were good.

Beautiful Day

Today was an amazing day. It was so warm outside, that I didn't even mind going outside for recess, in fact, I wanted to stay outside for longer, and everybody would agree with me. Hopefully, the weather predictions won't change, and it will be even warmer tomorrow, meaning more good weather. We liked it so much, that C let us go outside for 10 minutes near the end of geography class. We played some football, and it was fun.

Science Rules!

Today, in science class we got to work on our awesome toys. I was able to get some materials for my awesome boat, which helped me visualize how it would look. I was able to obtain an awesome mini-motor which would be used to move my boat. Only a few people stayed in the lab to work on the toy however, because the majority went to the library to look for toy ideas and to work on the brochure.

Easter...Tuesday?

Well, I wish there was an Easter Tuesday, that way it could have been an even longer weekend. However all good things must come to an end. However the school had a monday schedule, so we didn't miss gym as we usually do on long weekends. We also got to finish our fitness breaks on our first day back as well. I believe the grand prix de classroom was the best one. Walking around the class sure does make one tired.

Sunny With Slight Chance of Volleyball

Today was amazing. It had been extremely warm (compared to days previously in the week) and so nice. 9 degree weather is for the win. However, to top it all off, we played indoor(chair) volleyball near the end of the class. It was quite amuzing. Team Chuck Lee (two best people in the world combined, can it get any better) beat Team by 25-23. When the game ended, the crowd, consisting of M.R went wild.
However the highlight of the game wasn't how badly we beat the other team, but instead of how T.V smashed it into the ceiling after specifically being told he could not do it. It went something along the lines of:
"Are we allowed to play it off the ceiling?"
"Not on serves."
*Smashes ball into ceiling on a serve and loses a point for the amazing Chuck Lee*

Now, onto homework:
